...because Santa's is out!

The rumours are true (even though I told filthy not to say anything). Santa has put his back out.

Because he was concerned about performance ahead of this month’s crucial pitch (and because he watched American Beauty as part of movie night) he’s been pumping iron for the first time in a millennium in a bid to battle his bulge. He’s in agony – just as bad as when he did it during the 1892 blizzards, and that put him out of action for weeks! There’s no need to panic, we all need to pull together and take on extra responsibilities.

First things first who has a sleigh licence? If he is still in agony come Christmas Eve then someone is going to have to suit up and do the rounds.

Who has done a naughty nice list before and has experience of checking not only once but twice?

Roy.

Poor Santa, I just hope he is better for the pitch. I really don't trust those reindeers to do the job without him.

I have helped Santa with the naughty and nice list before and will check it three times just to be sure!
I am sure I can fit it all in as well as the policy writing and building the Gant charts - oh how I love to be busy!

Bijou Mistletoe

I'll give you a hand Bijou. I think it's best left us elves anyway. We can't be trusting others at such a time! Fairies too busy pampering themselves, snowmen too busy falling over their own feet and reindeers, well we all know about them...

Twinkle Mistletoes

Ha! You dont know the half of it Twinkle! I could tell you tales that would make your ears curl!

Vixen Chantelle

Vixen did you not even realise that we're being insulted? Of course we will deliver, we're reindeers after all, it's our job to look fine and get there on time. When in the history of the world have we let anyone down?! Thank you.

I hate that we're being insulted because we get the job done and are so elegant with it.

Prancer-ilious Worthington-Hobbs

Ah i'm used to the insults from the little ones, goes over my antlers to be honest. It's obviously just shear jealousy and who can blame them?

Vixen Chantelle

Too true lovely.

I should just learn to tune out from them, they are after all just jealous but they constantly bang on that they do all the work and it's starting to get a little tiresome now. I don't know what I would do if all I had in my life was work?!

Prancer-ilious Worthington-Hobbs

Santa's asked me to thank you all for your messages of support, he's currently flown to Florida to work with one of the world's leading back specialists apparently. He has been a little vague as to what 'working with' actually means but he says rest and relaxation is what he needs and he says to send you all his love.

Mrs Claus

BRILLIANT!! Well not for the big Santa man obviously, but us elves do love a bit of a challenge. I love this time of year - we always get some extra responsibilities when we are already so very busy and up against a deadline. I volunteer for driving the sleigh (as long as I can eat all the mince pies and drink all the sherry)! Oh, blinking heck, gor for it - I volunteer to do everything!
